So the leftover #SourdoughBiscuitTopping I used to make dumpling soup yesterday is delicious baked on top of fruit! It went into the fridge overnight and then I scooped some on top of roasted fruit for a quick #sourdoughcobbler To roast the fruit, I chopped a couple of super ripe pears, mixed with 1/2 cup of cranberry sauce, sprinkles with candied orange and baked until bubbly on 425F. Then took the dish out of the oven and topped with the cold biscuit topping, sprinkled with raw sugar and put back in the oven for another 12 minutes! Nice lunch! . . mix with your hands to form a mound: 1/2 cup of liquid (I used whole milk this time) 1/4 cup of starter fed and bubbly (but from the fridge has worked as well) 1 cup of while grain flour (I used #spelt) At the end of the day, the #sourdough had doubled and I added: 1 whisked egg , sprinkle 1/4 tsp of baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp of baking powder. Fold in 2 TBSP of butter (or fat of choice) cut tiny cubes to combine #storycooking #rethinkingperfect #zerofoodwaste #zerowaste

This morning while mixing bread, I had some bubbly starter leftover and I made that biscuit topping dough I used for cobbler a few weeks ago for the soup. .
